Partner: Chemnitz University of Technology
In cooperation with the Chair of Industrial Planning and Manufacturing faculty at TU Chemnitz, community4you sets out to develop a technological base for the mobile project and change management aimed at the holistic improvement of projects. The main objective of the project is to use its integration platform open-EIS and the knowledge management system comm.kms to set up the technical base. A remarkable feature is to design a computer-based demonstration model for the time- and location-independent management of projects.
Challenge
The construction of new factories or the installation of complex production technology is an important prerequisite for competitive and resource-saving production in Germany. Successful project planning needs experience and creativity in the coordination, communication and collaborative trades as well as supporting request and change management. The documentation of project and construction progresses, in particular, are often neglected and costly. However, a complete recording of all data is absolutely necessary for traceability of the services provided.
Solution
This project "mPRO" results in a functional model that promotes factory feasibility and links factory planning and implementation projects. The occurring changes will be recorded in the execution phase. Both the method to be developed and the functional model are based on two principles: The documentation during factory planning and implementation is transparent, comprehensible and up-to-date for a meaningful basis of comparison. The model and functional model can be used on construction sites independent of time and place.
The developed model synchronizes the factory realization with the original factory planning and sets a harmonization of "planning modules" with the "realization modules". This makes it possible to assess and successively improve the planning technique and increase the quality of planning and implementation.
The project runs from April 2017 to March 2019 and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Saxony.
