community4you AG: Software manufacturer for fleet- and leasing management is creating a new location with “Villa Bell”
A historical villa in Rabenstein becomes the second community4you AG head quarter.
The business software manufacturer community4you AG has experienced in the last years a brilliant company growth and plans to continue in the following years his expansion course. The related increase of employment figures has been presenting the company with growing new challenges. The available capacities in the "Villa Hahn“, the company’s head office, are in perspective not adequate, so that the development of a new location is unavoidable.
Second attractive company location
With the imposing villa situated on the street Kalkstrasse 101 in the Chemnitz district Rabenstein a suitable object was found which is being renovated complexly.

The property will be a modern workplace for future community4you AG employees. Furthermore, it offers place for attractive training and seminar rooms and meets the high requirements of national and international customers. The approx. 2300 square metres property is situated about 6 kilometres to the west of the Chemnitz city center. The street connection allows a direct linking from Rabenstein to the A72. A convenient traffic connection is provided by the public transport and the close junctions of the A4 highway.
New shine with a new name
The work on the historical object is in full swing. After the renovation and the completion of the roof, the windows are currently being restored in detail and insulation works on the facades.
The newly renovated villa building will in future be decorated with a new logo: "Villa Bell", named after the youngest daughter of Uwe Bauch, company founder and president of community4you AG.

Interesting testimony of a great time
The "Villa Bell" was built by the manufacturer Richard Herrmann at the beginning of the 20th century. The history of Family Barthel is a unique testimony of Saxon entrepreneurship and the development history of textile industry. In the 19th century the region in the west of Saxony around Chemnitz developed into an important centre of fine hosiery and warp glove industry in Europe.

With the beginning of the 20th century the industrial growth in Saxony reached its climax. Chemnitz was a hi-tech location and owned at that time about the highest income per capita in Germany. In a short time the district blossomed and numerous quarters of villas, restaurants and recreational facilities were created.
The first reference of the company "Herrmann Barthel" can be found in 1883 in an article preserved in the commercial register at the Chemnitz municipal archive. In 1906 Richard Barthel took over the booming hosiery factory from his father, counted among the model companies of the Saxon textile industry. In 1950 he transferred the business to his daughter Helene who managed the operation till 1961. The company closed down after they could not find a successor.

As we already own with the 'Villa Hahn' an extremely attractive company location - the former home of Carl Hahn, the Saxon industrial pioneer and long-time Volkswagen chairman - we are proud to provide with this new 'Villa Bell' another property with very modern equipped work areas to our employees.
This project will be co-financed with tax revenue on the basis of the budget decided by the members of the Saxon Parliament.
